- Cook time: 20-25 minutes
- Total time: 40 minutes
- Yields: 4-6 servings
Ingredients
The Base & Filling:
- Pizza Dough: 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough (e.g., Pillsbury Classic Crust)
- Cheese: 8 slices Provolone cheese
- Ham: 8 slices deli ham
- Salami: 10 slices Genoa salami
- Pepperoni: 12 slices pepperoni
The Garlic Butter Glaze & Topping:
- Butter: 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Garlic: 1-2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- Parsley: 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
- Grated Cheese: 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
For Serving:
- Marinara Sauce: 1 cup warm pizza or marinara sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
Step 1: Prep and Roll Out the Dough
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the refrigerated pizza dough onto the prepared baking sheet, gently pressing and stretching it out into a large, even rectangle.
Step 2: Layer the Filling
- The Cheese: Arrange the 8 slices of provolone cheese evenly over the dough, leaving about a 1-inch border along the edges.
- The Meats: Layer the deli ham slices over the cheese. Next, add an even layer of Genoa salami, and finally, top it off with the pepperoni slices.
Step 3: Roll and Slit
- Starting from one of the long sides, carefully and tightly roll the dough up into a log shape (like a jelly roll), keeping the fillings tucked in.
- Pinch the final seam and the ends tightly to seal the dough so the cheese doesn’t leak out during baking. Turn the roll so it sits seam-side down on the baking sheet.
- Using a sharp knife, cut diagonal slits across the top of the dough (about 1–2 inches apart). This allows steam to escape while baking.
Step 4: Glaze and Bake
- In a small bowl, mix the 2 tablespoons of melted butter with the minced garlic and a pinch of chopped parsley.
- Use a pastry brush to generously coat the entire top and sides of the Stromboli with the garlic butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the crust is deeply golden-brown and crisp.
Step 5: Garnish, Slice, and Serve
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the top with the grated Parmesan cheese and the remaining fresh parsley.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes so the melted cheese can set slightly, making it easier to slice.
- Slice into thick pieces and serve warm with a side of marinara sauce for dipping!
