Here’s a simple Air Fryer Homemade Bread recipe that makes a soft loaf like the one in your picture.
Ingredients
- 3 cups (375 g) all-purpose or bread flour
- 2¼ tsp (1 packet) instant yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup (240 ml) warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 1 egg (optional, for brushing the top)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Add the warm water and olive oil. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough, shape it into a round loaf, and place it in a parchment-lined air fryer-safe baking pan.
- Cover and let it rise again for 30–40 minutes.
- Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden crust (optional).
- Preheat the air fryer to 160°C (320°F).
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, checking after 15 minutes. If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover it with foil.
- The bread is done when it sounds hollow when tapped or reaches an internal temperature of about 93°C (200°F).
- Cool on a wire rack for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
Tip: Air fryer models vary, so you may need to adjust the baking time by a few minutes. This bread is delicious with butter, jam, or for making sandwiches.
