✅Ingredients:

▪️For the chocolate cake:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1½ teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot coffee or hot water

▪️For the chocolate ganache filling:

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter

▪️For the chocolate frosting:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate shavings for decoration (optional)

✅Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line three 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth, then carefully stir in the hot coffee or water. The batter will be thin.
  4. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Let the cakes cool in their pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. To make the ganache, heat the heavy cream until steaming but not boiling. Pour it over the chocolate chips and let stand for 2 minutes. Stir until smooth, then mix in the butter. Allow it to cool until spreadable.
  7. For the frosting, beat the softened butter until creamy. Add the cocoa powder and powdered sugar gradually, alternating with the cream. Mix in the vanilla until fluffy.
  8. Place the first cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of chocolate ganache over it. Repeat with the second layer, then place the third cake layer on top.
  9. Cover the top and sides of the cake with chocolate frosting. Drizzle with extra ganache and decorate with chocolate shavings, if desired.
  10. Chill for 20–30 minutes to help the layers set, then slice and serve. Enjoy every delicious bite! 🍫🍰
