Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 4 strips of bacon (cooked and chopped)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or mozzarella)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon milk (optional, for egg wash)
- A pinch of black pepper
- A pinch of dried herbs (optional, oregano or thyme)
- Directions :
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into squares, roughly 4–5 inches each.
- Place a spoonful of shredded cheese and chopped bacon in the center of each square.
- Sprinkle with black pepper and herbs if desired.
- Fold the pastry square into a triangle, sealing the edges by pressing with a fork.
- Brush the tops with the egg wash for a golden finish.
- Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Place the turnovers in the basket, leaving space between them.
- Air fry for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
- Remove carefully and let cool slightly before serving.
