Ingredients:
- 1Β½ lbs beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- ΒΌ cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- Β½ tsp black pepper
- Β½ tsp paprika
- Β½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp water
Instructions:
- Season the sliced beef with black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef in batches for 2β3 minutes, until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add the remaining oil. Cook the bell peppers and onions for 4β5 minutes, until slightly softened.
- Add the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
- In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and water.
- Pour the sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Return the beef to the skillet and stir to coat everything in the sauce.
- Simmer for 5β7 minutes, until the sauce thickens and the beef is tender.
- Serve hot over steamed white rice or mashed potatoes.
