Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole

Ingredients
- 3-4 chicken breasts, sliced thin
- 8 oz deli ham, sliced
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 2 cups cooked rice or pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream or milk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs + 2 Tbsp melted butter for topping
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard, 1 tsp garlic powder, salt + pepper
Steps:
- Prep: Heat oven to 375°F. Grease 9×13 dish. Spread rice/pasta on bottom if using.
- Layer: Chicken on bottom → season with salt/pepper/garlic powder → ham → Swiss. Repeat if you have enough.
- Sauce: Whisk cream/milk + Dijon + pinch salt/pepper. Pour over like pic 2 so it seeps down.
- Top: Mix breadcrumbs + melted butter. Sprinkle over everything for that golden crust in pic 3.
- Bake: Cover with foil 30 min, uncover 10-15 min till bubbly and golden. Let it rest 5 min before scooping like pic 4.
