Here’s a delicious and simple Baked Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken recipe you can try. It’s sweet, savory, and has that irresistible caramelized glaze.
Ingredients
(for 4 servings)
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs if you prefer)
3 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional for a tangy kick)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika or regular paprika (optional for color)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Garlic Brown Sugar Sauce
In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, Dijon mustard (if using), salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir until well combined.
Prepare the Chicken
Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Place the chicken in a baking dish. Brush or spoon the garlic brown sugar mixture evenly over each piece.
Bake the Chicken
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F / 74°C) and the glaze is caramelized.
Optional Broil for Extra Caramelization
For a more caramelized top, broil the chicken for 2–3 minutes at the end—watch carefully so it doesn’t burn.
Serve
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with rice, roasted vegetables, or mashed potatoes.
